NVIDIA has announced the new NVIDIA® Tegra® 4 processor (previously codenamed “Wayne”). Tegra 4 happens to be the world’s fastest mobile processor, with ultra-high performance and power efficiency designed for smartphones, tablets and gaming devices.

Tegra 4 includes a quad-core ARM Cortex-A15 processor, which is said to deliver 2.6 times faster web browsing  capability. It also features 72 GeForce GPU cores – 6x more powerful than that of Tegra 3! It brings the support for 4K ultra-high-definition video playback.

Another new feature that has been added to the Tegra 4 is Computational Photography Architecture. This feature allows users to take high dynamic range (HDR) photos and video giving detailed high-resolution snapshots.
